I forgot exact, what have change, but the main reason:
I Include CustomButtons (and so minimum OS is win98 ). So please try this one. A Skin-Tab in the Preferences is planed.
When you find a bug (old or new) please report.

Works just fine...
Shame the button bar has a yellow background
Doesn't look very nice under XP...
But the buttons look nice! (OSx look ehehehe)
Oh well, better hit the about box again...
--EDIT--
Btw, how did you build these nice gadgets?
I really love them and the highligth thingy on the check and radio boxes

That looks nice GPI... The design needs a little work, but your custombuttons/checkboxes work just fine
Nice work!

All are custombuttons (search in the forum), even the Toolbar are "normal" buttons.
One "Problem": Don't work under W95 (btw. i find, that the jaPBe now looks nicer, when i disable XP-Skin-Support ...)

My personal opinion...
It is much harder to see what the icons are, makes the interface look rather ugly and adds unnecessary bloat to the application.
Like XP, I really hope you include an option to disable all skins and have the normal Windows buttons back.
I would rather spend the time ripping out the skin/button code and recompiling back to the way it was, than waste time creating graphics for the interface.
Once again, this is just my own personal opinion.
That being said, I think GPI has created an excellent code editor for PureBasic and one can be much more productive using it. I certainly hope these unneeded additions to the interface don't ruin that.

@Paul
I agree that the toolbar is rather out-of-place.... I don't agree that it does much bogging down...
I would think that you of all people would like skins, since you promote them in your software?
But... Try my less-uglified version of the toolbar:
here
(I think this version should be default)

I upload a "oldstyle"-Toolbar skin

I just figured out why your toolbar looks out of place... Let me guess, you're using XP-Steel right GPI?
The toolbar looks strange in any other style...
You should include one like mine for the normal XP theme...
You'll probably also need one for win98/XP-Classic

Which one? The oldstyle?
Yes i use XP-Style (Silver). But the ToolBar looks not like every normal Toolbar. The hover effect of the normal style draws a boarder around the icon. My Toolbar-Icons rise and have then a shadow. It like OfficeXP, but there is draw a boarder two and this look ugly.
When you want a other Toolbar -> No problem, redesign (and share).
Btw: @all with the linker-Bug:
It seems, that this problem is gone. Can this confirm anybody?

I understand that it's custom and made to look that way, I'm talking about the background color mismatching the window... But no problem, as you said we can change/share

beta4 with little changes:
* For Classic-Style-XP-Users: Old-Style Buttons (ok, they a little bit rounded...)
* The Default-Button has now a bigger and bold font.
