Whenever I run this on my computer, it starts up SLOWER than SLOW... but that I can understand, being a very large and complex software. But when it's running, the most I could ever get it to do is render a textured box, and I was lucky enough to get it to do that. It freezes very easy and runs very slow. It's basically unusable. My computer is usually running about 75 processes and using 450 MB RAM. That is pretty high, but there's not much I can do about that. It's pretty much just a bunch of spyware running that even the latest spyware removal programs wont get. Here is my PC specs:

1.7 GHz Pentium 4
512 MB RAM
128 MB GeForce FX 5200
80 GB HDD

I'll post whatever other specs you need if you want. But what the hell? I really need to use 3ds max 5...

Discreet has a support site for licensed 3DMax owners. They are very helpfull and quick to answer questions regarding their software.

That is where you should be posting this question ;)

That page is very confusing and from what I briefly read, don't think I can contact them as it's been over a month since I bought it. And I'm not even going to pay. Aren't there any forums at discreet?

On my sales invoice it says online support can be obtained through their website, specifically at http://talk.discreet.com/ or directly at http://www.discreet.com/contact.

Now if I go to http://talk.discreet.com/ and scroll down it gives quite a number of forums I can enter for support discussions.

Usually the best page to start is the company (authorized reseller) you bought it from, then try the Discreet forums.

Are you sure you are a registered user? ;)
