I also tried to find that, I found the Alert-SDK. Perhaps that is what you are looking for, you can find it on the MSDN-Website.
I didn't understand it, so I stopped to try.
Could anyone give me tip?

Well.. we are two with out documentation and sdk... 1 thing I hate about Microsoft is that! they don't give too much about many stuff.. and they even use tons of different algos for everything.. pieces of code from something and pieces from something else... I simply hate that. anyway I would like to work with them tho -_-
I wonder if I google about MSN API in google..

Really? How odd the documentation is very simple to find on msdn.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/en-us ... r_mapi.asp

the old place noted where it had moved with a link

hmm, i take it mapi calls will only work with messenger installed? or are they considered core of the os these days? (xp and up)

well i think someone scwitched the Messaging API with MSN Messenger API. Messenger is a chat program or whatever you call it, and MAPI is something network thingy

that's why i asked the question

is mapi independent of messenger, or is it ms's greedy 'all included no way out' policy that is involved as well?

the MAPI system was invented long time before the first line code of messenger was written. It was invented for EMail, and messenger and MAPI has nothing to do with each other
