Code-Archive-Testing

To help Andre (and indeed all of us) I propose that those who can do so test the snippets and post results here. Many hands, etc, etc.

Tests should be done on a per-folder basis, no results posted until the folder (or subfolder) is completely tested.

Results then posted for the folder, and only those files that did not make it are listed.

If mods needed, minimal mods to get things done.

Files not listed worked, AS-IS, by implication.

We update our original post with extra results, so that the thread does not get long and difficult to follow.

Join in if you're going with this, otherwise just ignore this thread.

Thus far my results:

------
OpSys: win 2000k pro

Fonts
LoadAdditionalFonts.pb - error, no fix made
ScalableText.pb - Scales ok but should some text be upside down?
ScalableText_W98.pb - not tested on 98

WindowsAPI-Examples
* All ok

Windows / AboutBox
* All ok
Windows / ColorWindow
BackColor.pb - quit button doesn't quit.
Windows / Dialogs
* All ok

Well, i took a look at the "Requester" folder.

Heres the result:

Set_Requester-position.pb - dosent compile
\messagerequester\messagerequester_centered.pb - dosent compile

everything else seems ok, exept the inputrequesters, but thats a Pb or my comp. releated bug. i have posted a bug report..

I propose also some sort of standard submission tool, that makes Andre's life easier...

Maybe a email address where we can send snippets pre-parsed and standardized for site inclusion...

Code snippets can always be send to be me directly via email to andre @ purebasic.com :wink:

They should include the following syntax:

Code: Select all

; WWW Source
; Author: Name
; Date: Date (Day. Month Year)

; One or more lines describing the source example

Sourcode
Example:

Code: Select all

; English forum: http://jconserv.net/purebasic/viewtopic.php?t=10331&start=15
; Author: fweil
; Date: 23. April 2004

; I introduce here some code...
