dell_jockey,
Simply amazing!
I almost overlooked this, since it seemed to be aimed primarily at MySQL, but it handles Oracle, SQL Server, ODBC, and SQLite too!
Thanks for pointing out this useful tool.

I tried this before, it looks great but I found it a bit unstable - it kept locking-up my computer. If you're working with MySQL try this:
http://www.mysqlfront.de
I've found it to be alot more robust.

I've checked out mysqlfront and use it as well. Please note that mysqlfront is just a database front-end, it's not intended for database design/modelling. Also it's limited to MySQL.
For design/modelling I continue to use dbdesigner4. Highly recommended!
By the way, dbdesigner4 uses SQLite as it's application internal database manager...

It had promise but all it did was crash when I tried to open a SQLite DB..
Oh well - I've never seen one of these visual designers work!

I'm surprised to hear about so many crashes.
I'm running it on Windows XP Home/Pro.
I've used it with my MP3 database (SQLite) and a number of MS SQL Server 2000 databases with no problems.

Funny, I use it on XP as well, no problem so far. Is there a specific scenario that produces those hickups?

yeah, just crashed on me too.
It looks amazing, but I can't get it to connect to mySQL. Well, it connects but on the screen with the "load model" button, absolutely nothing happens or works. Any ideas? :S
