The replay idea is used by Rugby League. There there is a video ref.
In this tournament the referee, the two linesmen and the fourth official all have microphones and earpieces so they can communicate with each other, the fourth official also has access to a screen where he can see replays but they still wont use it.
I hope germans don't need this kind of 'help' this friday
What about the help Argentina got against Mexico, the rules say Heinze must be sent off. Mexico were supposed to be lambs to the slaughter but they were excellent.
I'm starting to really like Germany, they have real pace throughout the team and they're making good use of it.
I wish England would play at that tempo instead of the dreadful conservative, constipated performances they keep churning out. Still, better to have played crap and still be in rather than go out in a blaze of glory like Mexico. Maybe Terry, Gerrard and Lampard will remember how good they are and start playing like they do for their clubs.

Well done Italy!
Also well done Australia.
Excellent 1st half. Sad in 2nd half to see Italy 1 man down. But Italy played it's heart out, class showed. And then right at the end, the free kick.
Thanks Flype! I enjoyed that game. And what a dream come true for Australia. We have played two greats, Brazil and Italy, in the World Cup!
I also think we had the opportunity to show (and showed) we rank better than 40-something.
Whew. Adrenalin!

Once again the referi makes a mistake that decide the game. (Italia vs Australia)
---
Yes, the referi should show red card to Heinze in our game against Mexico.
BUT also he eat some argentina's gol and see some offside that only exist in his mind.

I think that the game Spain vs France has many rivality for many things, not only the game itself.
I hope don't comes a very rude game.

it can't be as rude as netherland v. portugal.
french team is not in anyway violent, much less than some others.
and there's no 'bad' rivality against france and spain. we appreciate each other. this will be, i hope, a great match, an 'opened' one (attack, not defense).

The main fault is the ones who allowed that person to arbitrate the match, having demonstrated his incapacity to do it in a past match just in this world cup.
When i saw him at the beginning of the Italy-Australia match i got scared and perplex like that:

Yo Flype,
Ah yes, 1998 and quite a good win (2-0 or 3-0 or thereabouts) - I'll google and check.
I was down at the corner store a short time ago. The guy who runs it is from Shanghai, China, a really nice bloke.
When Aus went out, he was a bit disappointed. But today he was euphoric, his favourite to win is France. Biggest smile I've ever seen.
He kept saying France has finally got all cyclinders firing. (Or that is what I think he was saying, heavy accent and so excited he was talking really fast and jumping around).
Amazing cup so far.
Poor old Switzerland!? Knocked out and not had a goal scored against it entire cup (except the penalty shootout).
I no longer know what to expect.
Will Germany get past Argentina (or other way round). Will France beat Brazil? Who will win England-Portugal? And can Ukraine hold Italy goaless and then win the shoot-out (Italy seems to crumble in those).
