I don't by it. I don't think you ever wrote a vst in PB. That's why you could never tell how it was done. Then when it comes time to almost release your "vst", all of your files are deleted.

I've seen this so many times on the net. This topic should just end.

Emh.. Idiot?
If you backup you do it on an external medium...
Thats all I have to say, those who lose code are idiots thats all and thats the real truth, might hurt you, might not, I don't care since I dont choose whats real and whats not on your side.

10.000 lines of code do fit inside a floppy disk and in the hipotetical case that they dont, compress them. In the case that you dont have a floppy drive (I don't) a pendrive costs nothing now adays, in the case that you cant afford one or cant be arsed to, you can always burn a dvd, if you dont have a dvd burner, a cd, if you dont have a cd burner, what are you doing programming? you're not productive you're not making money go to sleep forever already or get a job! .

 Seriously those with harddrive crashes, I believe them.. I had a few crashes, but never lost my work, why, because I care about my work and do the correct backuping.

This is josku a few hours ago: OMG OMG OMG Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk??!

Sorry had to make that joke!.

in all honesty, the same thought crossed my mind as well ... has anyone actually seen more than a screenshot of this plugin?

also: external harddrives are WAY cheap these days - I use an external harddrive for backing up everything, it's an extremely fast and simple backup solution. just a tip :)

You can say what you want. I made the plugin, but I don't have anything to proof I made it, except the screenshot and the music.

I don't mind if you say I'm a liar or that I am just a n00b who didn't do anything.

well, I'm not going to call anybody any names - especially since I don't really know you or anybody else on this forum.

but it seems like, if you were able to make a VST plugin in PB, you should be able to do it again.

and the example VST synth that comes with the VST development kit is about 400 lines of code, and that's including a lot of comments, and some DSP code that we don't need to see ported.

that's not a lot of code - we're looking at 200 lines or so, tops, for a simple sinewave VSTi plugin with a volume control.

if you've been able to do it once, you should have some idea what you're doing at this point, and it shouldn't take you long to do it again.

I know from personal experience that rewriting a project that took 10 months to pioneer, can be done in under a month...
