Here is just have to hit the "Print Screen" key, and i get a window that asks me where to save the image.
I have no idea how to do it else.

btw, could you try to select another font in the preferences? (make sure it is no multibyte or wide-char font!)
Some people have reported that the default font was very weird on their system.

it's not a font issue it has up arrows blue squigly lines there is nothing ledgable
and normal text when you type it in you can't see

would gtk2 have this affect?

The PureBasic 3.93 beta 1 release contains a newer version of the IDE.
