What I would fear is that Microsoft will now try to patent the "Gadget" much as it did the "IsNot" operator.

Uh oh, might be time for another name change... How about: Sprockets? Hmm Sprodgets? My vote would be for "the machine that goes *bing*".

Ha! Let them try.

Inspector Gadget will whip on his magic hat and zip over there to sort them out!

Edit:

hehe. Sprodgets is good. Widgets is mine (*rushes through trade marks, patents, copyrights - secures qwerty whilst he's at it*)

I think widgets is already taken by the former wxWindows now called wxWidgets due to Microsoft.

hehe. They can have wxWidgets, provided they pay me a royalty as it contains my soon to be patented, copyrighted and trademarked widget in the name.

And if they don't, I'll find another name.

What about "Fred"

Code: Select all

CreateFredList()
TextFred(0,0,0,100,20,"RELEASE PUREBASIC V4.00 NOW")
StringFred(1,0,20,100,20,"The gadget name is the threat!")
ButtonFred(2,10,40,50,20,"DO IT")
Edit: Found and corrected a bug ... no, really. :?

Actually I suspect the more we want it, the less likely it is to turn up. So in 6 months time when we've all given up, it will sneak out onto the world stage and do a little dance. :)
