Dropping PPC support ? Seriously with all the time invested in it, we won't drop it . More infos will come when the x86 version will be in alpha stage.

Thanks Fred.
That's good to hear, that you will not drop PPC support.
I am looking forward to your Mac updates.

Best Regards

PB4.20 looks very promising,
Thank you for the hard work, PB Team.
No programming language is perfect. There is not even a single best language.
There are only languages well suited or perhaps poorly suited for particular purposes. Herbert Mayer

Is it correct that the PB IDE says Beta 4 in the last beta? This confuses me a bit as this is the first check I do after an update to see if the update is successfull.

On beta 6 I needed to update manualy couse kaspersky reports a false positive on the updater.exe. :-(

No, it should say beta 6. By the way, the number is pulled from the compiler, which means that even though it says beta 4 it could be the beta 6 IDE but with the old compiler.

Okay, now I see the reason.

The Updater does more then only copying the content of the UPDATE folder to the existing PB one but as I'm not able (here at work, I'm not admin) to start the updater I can not upgrade becouse of a false positive of kaspersky.

Don't encourage Fred to write more, it would take away time from his programming!

Anyway, thanks for the beta 6. It's very stable and compiles really fast here.

The same go for AVG even if i put the "updatetool.exe" in the ignorelist.

And the tool asks for admin rights but even now i cant execute the file.

This is a known issue discussed here: http://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtopic.php?t=32189

The PB team informed the antivirus companies without success atm.
