Now the question is: how do you know it wasn't a trick? That spoon can be dropped on the table for "full examination".

Uri Geller, however, did it with real spoons. It's very impressive until you see what's actually going on.

How to bend spoons? The answer is seven very simple words: BEND IT WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING.

I've seen a video clip of Uri Geller bending a spoon. He holds a curved spoon and repeats over and over "look how it is bending". I could see that it gradually bent. However, when I checked the curvature on the spoon, it had not changed! I was mind-tricked into thinking that the spoon was bending. Then he stands up and bends the spoon right there right in front of everyones eyes (but they're not noticing) with full force. He now has a bent spoon.

The PSI wheel thing....not trying to steer you away from your vocation in life...but...the PSI doesn't move because of your mind. It moves because of small changes in temperature in the area of the PSI. Room temperatures are not constant, and simply introducing a warm human body into the room causes the temp to change, may be barely detectable but it does change. This change affects air currents in the room, and the surface immediately below the PSI has a different temp then the rest of the room. When the changes in temp affect the surrounding room air, and the surface immediatley below the PSI has a different temp, it creates a very small rotating air flow as the two temps oppose each other - just like in a weather system - the air circulates from bottom to top. This causes the PSI to move. The closer a temperature changing body is to the PSI the more quickly the PSI will begin to move because the temp effect is more localized to the PSI location. In other words, this is all due to a thermal effect. The shape of the PSI has a lot to do with it and simply helps capture more of the very small currents. Think of it this way, if it was real TK, then you would be able to place a flat sheet of paper on a smooth table top and make it move the same as the PSI using the same mind techniques you used to make the PSI move, but you will not be able to do it. You will notice that the PSI is always presented as being a certain shape or size, this is a big give-away right there for if it was real TK the shape or size would not matter.

Temps also change in a room even without the introduction of something, or someone, that could affect the temp. If you set the PSI in the room without anyone in the room it will eventually move on its own, maybe not much, it just occurs faster when a temp affecting object, or person, is introduced.

Actually you may be closer to the truth then you think. Geller actually went on TV once in the past and explained how he was able to bend spoons. At one point he discovered that the silverware given with in-flight meals on airlines (in the past) were made of a certain type of very cheap metal alloy that allowed the silverware to break eaisly with the right pressure. He had discovered this and also that with very little heat and a little pressure the material would bend. He also discovered he could produce this heat using friction by rubbing the bend point between his thumb and fore finger, and then by moving his hand up and down as he created this friction pressure would be introduced on the ends of a 'airline' spoon for example and it would bend at the friction point where the friction heat was concentrated. In this way he bent spoons in his earlier days. I actually tried this once myself and it works. You will notice, if you can still find it, that in the earlier televised shows where Geller appeared he always used the same type of spoon, the airline spoon (or fork in some cases - did the same thing - even saw him do it with an airline knife once)

In later years as this type of silverware became impossible to find because the cost of good quality metal was lower then that of the cheap metal, industry switched to the better quality metal, Geller had to rely on optical illusion to do his spoon bending trick.

Earlier non-precious metal silverware also would do this in some cases, it was a matter of finding the right brand. Airlines no longer use this type of silverware as their stuff is now either plastic or for, in some cases, first class made from good quality metals.
