Zach wrote:Chris, I have fired off an e-mail to you (the email PGUI emails come from), with a 5kb 7zip file containing my project directory. I included notes as well.
Hope it helps..
Thanks Zach, I've tested it and it is bloody slow with V1.30 lol but the new build works fine (super fast) :)
Poshu wrote: Yep, it's what you are describing, and it's my only symptom of any slowdown (even of my atom D525 based HTPC). So I'm going to give you a little tip: HideWindow(#Window, #True) can do some magic if you don't want user to see your window beeing destroyed
Good tip Poshu :) I should probably make ProGUI automatically hide the root window/s before destroying the controls on exit.
Poshu wrote: Damn you're a tough one! My last broke up left me inactive for 6 months =_=; Good luck though.
Thanks buddy! hopefully whatever doesn't kill me will make me stronger lol
Poshu wrote:
Hopefully you'll all be pleased to know that a new visual designer has been planned for a while (as Poshu knows )
And I might have something related to show in the next few weeks :3
Very nice indeed! The work you had previously shown me was very impressive! so I'm looking forward to this :D

Thanks mate :) compared to what I went through a few years ago (some of you guys may remember) I think I'll survive this :)

Poshu, thanks a lot for the tip on HideWindow()

It certainly makes everything look much nicer when exiting, and at least gives the appearance the program has immediately ended
I will remember this so I can use it in other applications if they ever give me a similar hard time

My sincere apologies to anyone who witnessed my last outburst of heartbroken frustration (i'm really not that strong), the posts were short lived and deleted, work will continue...

UNQUOTE

This type of thing is downright disgusting and the Gold member's lack of self-respect to do such low down thing.

I too found out someone in India cracked one of my software and upload onto a forum that do not accept new user registration.

Maybe you want to find some way to protect the source code distribution. Maybe some sort of water marking.

The short answer is "All software can be cracked/hacked/stolen/released"

The 1st time it happened to me, I was pissed.. then someone said "take it as a sign that your product is worth something"

I have their full set of OCX controls. Few years ago, they were very prompt in their email reply. But no more now. With VB6 a dead platform, they are now having a fire sale.

Since Vista (late 2006) and the issue with OCX/UAC, I prefer to move away from OCX.
