It's much more than a Hex Editor and probably overkill, but it's very configurable and a pleasure to look at.
Yes. looks very nice. Thing I hate about Github is I can never find a download link.

I have many different compilers and IDE enviroments and sometimes one of those programs updates and changes my path variables. It can be anoying when you work with mutiple versions of GCC, ffmpeg, etc...
Anyway to make sure all environment paths are pointing where they need to be I use Rapid Environment Editor, "rapidee". It is portable and free:
https://www.rapidee.com/en/history

Forgive me if anyone has already posted about it, but it was easier to post it than to to read all of the messages on this thread

OHHH!! One really great freeware image/video/text viewer is "Irfanview":
https://www.irfanview.com/
Used it for many years and love it for image viewing and minor editing .
It opens text as an image which is a little strange and gags on binaries.

You can just type "rapidee" in the "search this topic" box.
It will search just inside this thread.

BTW: I like it, too bad you can't change the font size, on a 4K display it's small.

Thank you Luis, I overlooked that detail, then again until last year I would look at the fuzzy bars below people's names wondering why they were fuzzy until someone asked how many posts per microchip. =[]=

https://www.screentogif.com screentogif - create a moving gif of a screen grab
http://www.towofu.net/soft/e-index.php icon sushi - create icons for your programs

https://github.com/chrisant996/clink/releases clink - adds history to command promp really useful

I have many, many code editors. I guess I hope one of those editors will make me a better programmer.

The usual: NotePad2-Mod, Notepad3, NotePad++, CudaText, rjTextEd, metapad, jEdit,Textpad, Leafier, etc..
and here is a couple of odd ones for you guys to try:

https://phcode.io/#/home phoenix code - it uses the base code of brackets nice code editor
https://haystackeditor.com haystack - is a different kind of code editor. I had to use it for a C++ project ( benefits of working with a team of youngsters who do not know the difference between a TRS80 and a PET ). It is flashy you might like it

I've been using an old free promotional copy of Paint Shop Pro since win 95 era but this photofiltre looks to be way more sophisticated.
I just hope I can learn to use it.

I clicked the "Download" button and switched to version 11. Now I downloaded version 7, and it's a really good free editor.

I'll just rough it with my old working copy of "Clic.exe" and "Paint Shop Pro". Very rare I need it anyway.
Freeware "Clic" is available here: https://www.blaizenterprises.com/clic.html
