I guess my twisted sense of humor clouded the whole issue beyond recognition in spots and things certainly went a bit out of control, all stemming from a failure on my part to be more lucid from the start, so I chalked it up to nothing more than misunderstanding. Not sure what February has to do with anything.

Anyway, for those interested to know, the reason I went on would make more sense if you study my original post for a moment. The sample in the documentation illustrated a very simple operation to detect use of the return key. I was looking at that snippet as "the proper approach" and seeing that it did not work left me with one alternative -- do something else, and hence the term workaround. Don't know why this is upsetting, if not for misunderstanding, and again failure on my part to explain myself more effectively. There in the close of that original post where I was asking if anyone had found a solution that was not a workaround. I probably should have injected the words "official command" or something to help indicate I was looking for something comparable in its simplicity, designed for that specific purpose -- the purpose of the former #PB_EventType_ReturnKey constant. What everyone failed to see was that all the (what can I call it now?) alternative solutions were comparatively complex if not fragile -- in comparison to the original code snippet illustrating the use of the elusive #PB_EventType_ReturnKey constant ... andthat is the reason I kept coming back with "I did this and now its broke". I wasn't looking for a solution to the new problem so much as I was trying to illustrate all the added effort required to make the alternative perform in an acceptable manner -- as compared to the original code snippet. Every post I made revolved around that original snippet.

So ... Now you know "the rest of the story" (unless I totally screwed that up too :( ). Hopefully I didn't piss anyone else off or piss anyone off more. Didn't mean to offend or anger anyone. I have not met anyone here that is anything less than generous. I certainly don't want anyone here feeling I don't respect and appreciate that part of this encounter (and every other encounter I have had here so far). Thanks for sharing, and thanks to all those that spoke up on my behalf.
