Maybe not, but you can buy cheap apps for it at
the Ovi store

You do know that "ovi" means door in Finnish? The door store. Whatever you can get cheap from there as long as you're happy with it, who cares? utopiomania I believe you the N900 is just perfect for you. I respect that. I am in heaven with my BlackBerry and seems like thefool would be the uncool nerd without his iPhone. We all have our own needs and priorities, pick what's best for you either from an economical or professional point of view.

Pretty darn close

Lemme see maybe there's some good stuff for iPhone

Cellbasic... a basic interpreter, running on a java interpreter, running on a mobile!
Yes, you too can access 1khz of processing power and 4kb of ram!
Seriously, great concept... bad execution. If it created J2ME executables on the other hand... that would be impressive! Maybe there is something that does that... I'm going to have a look...

Google are providing a range of interpreters to run on Android (currently Python, Lua and BeanShell) :

I did say a few pages back "Android = Great, but most to benefit of this are programmers on the go (it's open source)." and your post just proves my point. If you are a programmer on the go, Android is definitely something you should look into.

Nah, I was cool (Or at least not uncool) before the iPhone (After leaving high school. Suddenly got a sense for style(clothing, hair etc), started working out, figured out i was smarter than most of the people from highschool, started porducing music that people had interest in etc. Made me less closed/shy i guess (People can of course say that clothing doesn't make people. But I surely do feel better and THAT counts. I don't care what my friends wear, though. And thats an important point!). Main point is, the best way is to feel cool but not try to convince others that you are. I'll stop writing OT nonsense now heh) but it certainly doesn't turn the "bling" factor down
@thefool: Just wait I'll have plenty of stuff to show you, iLove people with good taste like you
I can always use suggestions from people who know more about it than me
Edit: Excuse my use of paranthesises, i'm writing like i'm doing equations hehe

Eeew, talisman, I posted to discuss the N900 and how it stands up the the iphone, not to read four
pages of chit-chatting between you and thefool, so don't try to push me out of my own topic.
The door store or whatever, its the OVI strore, it's a brilliant site, and when the N900 is out users
can buy the apps they need for it there, at low prices, and without the stupid restrictions apple put on
their apps.
Besides, the
iphone isn't cool anymore.

Whenever I want to feel cool I just open the fridge. And whenever I want to look cool I invite my friends and start handing out beer from that same opened fridge. Works like a breeze!

Yeah i'm also trying to do my share to get the global warming thing going a bit faster. It was damn cold this morning! (I know its just a temporary solution until too much ice melts and stops the gulf stream, but at that point i'll figure out something else)
You must love Facebook too, don't you
Ouch

I gave up the N900 (and the iPhone) for this one:
Palm Treo Pro
With this shell
And this Otterbox
And this one, just in 'case'?
The Palm Treo Pro was discontinued a few days ago, so I picked up two for $400. $80 for the Otterboxes, and $29 for the shell.
I found out I need a phone with a qwerty. The touch screens only type of phones aren't fast enough, and the Palm is a high quality product with 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth streaming, 3.5mm headphone-jack, Micro-Usb and WinMo 6.1 Professional, and no bugs.

Isn't that a contradiction in terms?

The Palm Treo Pro works very well. Just downloaded a utube vid to it through its USB port, and listens to it
through a pair of full size DJ headphones, and the sound is amazing using plain old media player.
I also bought a tool (NSBasic/CE) for making real powerful programs for the WinMo platform and this phone!
