Thanks for the update!
probably, there will be a subsystem set that let the coder choose which dx to use... if so, no worry.

Sure, we won't drop the DX7 subsystem. We still support DX3...

This unexpected (for me at least) XML library couldn't have come at a better time.... these past couple days I have been debating different scripting systems to use for a game I'm writing - but now I implemented a simple XML script engine in two days! Thanks team!

By the way -
The drag and drop functionality is wonderful. It made it relatively easy to add D&D functionality to an app that I'd been wanting to for some time now, but just didn't want to take the time to implement the 'old way'.
You guys just have to figure some way to profit from all the functionality you keep adding. I've only owned the product for two years now and the increased functionality is amazing.
Keep up the outstanding work. I don't understand how the competition can stay in business. Between the product itself and the value of the forums, it's like purchasing gold for the price of coal.
cheers

It's because a lot of die-hard Visual Basic fans think PureBasic is a joke.
I discussed PureBasic on comp.lang.basic.visual.misc in the past and the
general consensus was that PureBasic could NEVER be equal to, or even
surpass, Visual Basic. So I think that's what the problem is: people have
their heads so far up their arse that they can't see when something better
has come along.

I use Purebasic for industry and database programs.
Services, OPC-Clients, Server and client programs. Some solution are better write with purebasis as to write with VB.

OK, I wasnt going to install 4.10 until full release but it got the better of me & I installed it tonight.
Seems to be very smooth especially for a Beta. Good stuff

Since I touched PureBasic, I've dumped Visual Basic... What I do want to see however is a more stable form designer that can really set the properties on the fly like .NET's.

Just thought I'd say that the beta works with no problems at all and I have both game, tool and application projects to test on
