Oh, didn't think at that... Here's what I did.. I downloaded the official drivers from Nvidia and put them in my home dir. After that, I exited the visual mode with Alt+F1 (as I remeber), typed INIT 3, and then SH NVIDIA.run. The installation worked ok, but when started X, it wouldn't load my monitor... I used 'vi' to edit xorg.conf and finally it worked. But this isn't the problem itself. My monitor is old (Gateway EV700) and it does a strange sound on frequencies bigger than 60 Hz so under linux it was having a strange behaviour. I ask for help next time I install it... Thanks.

No problem. That is a very easy issue to fix. Its just a bit daunting for someone whos never really worked with the xorg.conf file.
