Hello,
I would need your opinion on the evolution of this tool if it interests more than one (the 'one' being me of course

)
I plan to add more color charts (Pantone, Munsell, AFNOR,...) but this confronts me with a dilemma.
Indeed, when I designed the very first version, a dozen years ago, it was partly to compensate for the absence of some Unicode characters in the native PB tool. After having resumed the programming under PB, a little while ago, and by deciding to make a public version of it, it was necessary to make it a little more elaborate. So I initially included more characters than I really needed. At this stage, the app remained fast and light in physical size. Then, in a second step, to make a localizable version and, to finish, to include color charts for my own needs. In the end, the app ended up growing in size (list data storage) and losing a bit in speed of access (from a few tenths of a second to 3-4 seconds today on my I7-7700 HQ PC, HDD 7200 rpm and Win10 x64). It therefore moves away from my primary objective, which was to make it a rapid execution tool.
I have no stats on the number of downloads and potential users of this app. Today, personally, I'll be satisfied with a larger size and a slightly slower execution time, but perhaps not potential users interested in these future additions.
So I have three options:
• Leave the current version available without future public evolution,
• Continue to publish a public version with new color charts in a single tool but with a significant increase in the physical size and startup time of the app
• Split it into two separate apps, character tables and palettes.
So, to those who find an interest in this tool and use it, please give me your opinion.
Very humbly.

In my case...
It would be better to split it into two separate applications.
Anyway whatever you decide would be fine

Version 2.55: MUNSELL and AFNOR (French standardization agency for the last) color charts added (2,100 new unique colors)
Note: Unless there are bug reports, this will be the last version of this tool in this form. The executable size and, above all, the startup time have become very important and encourage me, if there were to be new adds, to split the app in two, char maps and color charts separately.

Version 2.56: Reading of character and color data optimized
Gain of about 33% (± 3 seconds) on my PC.
No changes to language and preference files.
This time, this version really should be the last of this tool combining char maps and palettes in a single tool.
