Perhaps, you can also stop the large fonts
Or perhaps..the large fonts is also not your priority

GIF support is included in PureBasic, since Hagibaba finalized the GIF decoder routine. I then applied that to decode ALL images in a GIF sequence. I even wrote a custom GIF animation control on top of that. Netmaestro developed the 8-bit quantize procedure, which allows us to scale down an image to 8 bits for GIF encoding. I posted VB source, which was mostly translated to PB by others, so GIF encoding IS possible.
And don't say the GIF routines don't work with PB 4.3-4, because they DO. All that had to be changed was the procedure declaration by adding "Array" in front of array parameters.
Since all these routines work pretty flawlessly, the thing to do is ask the PB developers to take code which has already been written in PB, and maybe optimize the parsed ASM that is generated by the compiler so it integrates into PB.
Fred and the other guys will most definitely find what a complete bitch GIF is, and adding full native support would be alot of work.
So if you really want GIF, why not take the PB code, fully optimize it with error checking, and then take the ASM generated by the compiler and turn that into a standalone routine that could be used by Fred?

Link? And don't forget, VB <> PB, so it may not be easy for people to convert it.

Because we're Basic coders (mainly), not ASM coders. I'd convert it if I could.

Yes, djes
but what is with Linux and Mac ???
Because they can not use windows API stuff.
So if we want GIF support, still a 'native' version is needed.
