Trond, sorry, but the themes you suggest are not really readable IMHO. I really prefer the new clean style of subsilver2. But I aggree that the default phpbb3 theme is annoying, especially on widescreen displays.

I don't see why that style is better than subsilver2, it has less contrast than subsilver2, which makes it harder to read, IMHO.

The default style is now subsilver2, i agree about the constrast and wide screen issues. Also 'code' tag font has been increased for subsilver2 style (to be like the old one).

Very nice one! But only if it supports "screen-wide" width (dunno what it's called)...

Same here! I didn't bother saying anything because I thought maybe it was just my PC (a cookie prob or something), but now that you've mentioned it, I'll confirm: what's the difference?

maybe most people have so poor displays (or so badly adjusted), that the style how that is now has too little contrast...

I just updated my signature....
the sizes are strange, dunno what the Units are... it Size=120 and size=80 now...

Is there a way to set the default of "Display results as:" in the search to "Topics" instead of "Posts" ?

I have to set it to Topics every time I do a search.... tried to look in the control panel but didn't see a section for the search options...

In the previous version of the forum the default was "Topics", btw.
