Thank you for this wonderful piece of software and for making my life get a bit of color all these years. PureBasic is my one hobby and in my opinion the best programming languages ever created.

Keep up the good work 8).

Aye, when it hits 64-bit then it will be truly awesome! Unbelievable.

(srod scratches his head wondering if Fred and Timo ever sleep?) :)

PureBasic is already awsome. 64-bit compatibility will make it extraordinary!

..so we decided to migrate all the assembly libraries (linked list, misc etc.) on NASM. Indeed the compiler has been modified to output NASM compatible code instead of FASM.
I have not had a chance to try it yet but does this mean that TailBite is broken for 4.20 B5? :cry:
NASM is only used on MacOS X.

Fred wrote:Thoerically, nothing link with VC8 runtime anymore (check that with "dependency walker"). Kale, can you run it on the pbcompiler executable to see if it miss some DLL ?
I've found the problem! Somehow the compiler got deleted!!!!! LOL! :roll: False alarm, nothing to see here. :oops:

@Fred
does the update tool check the registry for the pb path? because on my system it always shows "C:\Program Files\PureBasic\", so i have to change it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\PureBasic\".

c ya,

Thank you for the new beta.

There is a slight problem with the first post that I would like to point out. It might be a source for confusion.
Update: 4.20 Beta 6 for Windows is out, 4.20 Beta 2 for Linux and 4.20 Beta 1 for MacOS X as well !

Here is the fifth beta release of the forthcoming
