But this all has to do with the email client your using and the From address and the body and subject of the message.
I don't understand.. garbage chars = the content was there but where there should be Japanese was garbage (usually you need to set encoding to see non-US chars). I could see the reg key however (us ascii).
Oh! I'm sorry!
I thought you meant garbage as spam.
I'll add a feature in the future to choose an encoding type.

Thanks for this, Matt. It seems like an excellent system.

But one thing's bothering me. Does it send SSL-encrypted emails?

No, but I can add it to my to do list if you'd like, but I have a lot already to do with the next release.

First thank for this tools.

And my 2 ideas :
- Include a deadline for the validity of key.
- Store the MAC Address in addition to IP address.

The expiration date for a key is on the to-do list already, and I will add the MAC Address idea to the list as well.

For anyone still interested in this - yes I am still developing.

Here is a version 3.0 teaser:

Thanks for the teaser. I was wondering how you were going. How is the own-database hosting option going? It probably doesn't have to be a full-on database, maybe an encrypted XML file with the data in the XML managed by your program? This would be easier to deploy if it's possible.

I haven't put much development into that because of security reasons I'm not sure if it would be a great idea,
plus in case I decide to charge at some point for this service it would be easier on my behalf. (I will not charge you or anyone else who has already used the program before)
This doesn't mean that I won't do this, it is still on my to-do list and I am still thinking about it.

Would it be any worse or risker than what you've got in place now (your server setup I mean).

Thanks for considering it some more. Personally speaking I wouldn't mind making some reasonable payment (ideally a fixed cost) if I decided to use it. I think it's only fair for the work you've put in, and encourages you to continue working on it. I really like the video demos you do as well. It really helps the user understand what's going on.

First, thanks for this system. If nothing else, it is a great example of how this should be done.

One reason that I would hesitate to use this is that I would be completely at the mercy of your server. If it goes down or you discontinue it's support for whatever reason, I'm out of luck.

Please seriously consider developing a method of self-hosting the server.

It might be a little riskier considering that I will be giving scripts out and people would be able to see how the database is set up. Another way figuring out a secure way to connect to your database, instead of mine, especially through the DLL.
If I did charge for it, all previous users would continue getting it for free, and the cost for new people would just be most likely a small cost per program, receiving the first program for free.

Just to update you guys using this,
Since I have gotten so many requests, the next version will be released with an option to use your own server/website. It will be pretty sweet - and with lots of features. It is still in the works, screenshots and videos are hopefully to come soon.
