(Although i think paint.net is??, never seen it though)
But don't forget asp.net, so far the only reason to use .net
And then there is mono, so maybe.. ever.. we can write multi os apps properly.
So far i did not get a linux version to run properly (under VPC) and i didn't understand what to do to install for mono.
Call me stupid but linux stuff is beyond me so far..

Lucky you! For me it was, PBWin $200, PBConsole $170, PBForms $150, PwrDev $130, FireFly $100, Phoenix $100, EZ-GUI $200, for a total of $1,050! All wasted.
