Do you make good compost? I've been told that I do and there is a spot under some roses (I loathe roses!!) ready for me.

We were about 30 - 40 miles away from getting the icy part of that storm. As it was, we ended up with 15" of snow in a 24 hour period.
@netmaestro: Code is looking good but be careful not to get caught up in the Fanglization process, it can get pretty ugly in there

Bite you

Bite me
It must be the heat talking because I know the
true Fangles wouldn't treat me like that

If you're still getting the 404's on my pics let me know and I'll find some others to help cool you down.

The pictures worked, thanks Sparkie. They make me feel a little better too, haven't been able to eat all day. It's not good to get sick in this heat.
Tell your wife she is a nice lady for letting you lend out your brain to us sometimes (safe topic).
Love that snow, I can always code in the cold, never in the heat. Although, my father says that coming from Hungary where there is always loads of it in the winter, makes you want to scream. He was never so glad to get rid of it all.

Woohoo, I may even be able to eat solid food tomorrow. yay!! Still can't code in the heat.

Funny how older posts become useful again and you always find qizards lurking around helping us feebler intellects. Looks like I have to come up with a simpler way to track our finances and I need to use wizard code again!!
Watch me get myself into trouble.

I'm still waiting for you to seriously hurt me from the last cheeky post I made in another topic (laughing evilly and booking the ufo out of the galaxy so you can't hurt me too badly)

Looked at this... wow! Too big to wrap my little brain around.
What I do is this!
Code: Select all
; in a procedure in my program I have to grab the numbers from a gadget
Procedure TOTALTICKET()
; ******* first I reset all variables in case there is a stray out there
Result = 0
Result$ = ""
Cost$ = ""
subtotal.d = 0
subtot.d = 0
; ******** get the number of items we are gonna thunderplork!
Result = CountGadgetItems(#ListIcon_TICKET)
For t = 0 To Result
Result$ = GetGadgetItemText(#ListIcon_TICKET, t, 2) ; 2 decimal places
subtot.d = ValD(Result$)
subtotal.d = subtotal + subtot
Next
RESU$ = StrD(subtotal,2) ; *** reaffirm 2 decimal places (this is money all over the world!)
;frag$ = "$ "+ RESU$
SetGadgetText(#Text_SUBT, RESU$) ; set the gadget that shows subtotal the dollar amount...
TOTALTAX() ; go to the procedure that adds the TAXES
EndProcedure
;
Basically this is 2 calls... If I remember correctly srod and trond even helped me figure this out!

Wow, can't believe this was way back in 2007 when I was younger.
I have to do a home inventory package that works (and looks good) just for the family as the house insurer wants everything in a neat list (AKA spreadsheet) or they will charge us heaps of moolah to read all the papers.
NetMaesto, if you are reading this old post, is there a chance that commas could make it into that Fanglized Currency gadget?
Not to worry if not, just an idea for completeness's sake.
And before any other forum smartass makes a comment about daring to front the qizard (Bit like Oliver asking for "more"), I'm allowed to ask because it states "Fanglized"!! So there!!!!
