Got a personal vendetta or something? If rumors of company dealings were a case for libel people would be starting companies just to have someone make a rumor then sue them for libel... Thats absurd. I don't know where you got your definition of libel but unless the offending statement is made with pureposeful and willful intent to harm the person or reputation its not libel... its just freedom of speech.

If being foolish was illegal I think the streets would be barren...

I have no vendetta against PureBasic. Quite the opposite. However, it is unfortunate that a select few users choose to periodicly bad mouth PureBasic any chance they get.

In other words: Yes.
And it's unfortunate that some people doesn't know how to use the search function.

Not at all, as I said before. I like Kale. I was surprised he would post something like this to begin with.

But, with the majority of indie languages having turned into pure crap, I am very protective of PureBasic and Fred. You bad mouth PB or Fred, well, them be fighting words!

While I love purebasic, its a shame that Fred is the only developer on purebasic itself. It's led me to start considering other options like the D language when planning out a project.

The slow pace of development is really hurting pb's ability to stay competitive in my opinion. It'll always have its place of course but I think if Fred could expand to just 1 more developer on the libraries and compiler it'd really improve their progress a lot.

The admin of this forum and/or PB team must be attentive about these kind
of rumours with bad impact, and thats it.

Im sure Kale did not have in mind to create this mess, and this is a
lesson for Kale and Us.... no more harmful rumours.

Kale is a good and important guy in the forum... there is NO reason
to ask his head down... ok? .... don't made thing greater than it really is!

I have been and always will be an avid supporter of Purebasic and the team behind it. PB is a fantastic language.

I think i may have been a little drunk and taken the word of someone i shouldn't. Oh well, panic over! No OOP, no big business!

The thing is, Kale: You published a book about PureBasic, which, whether you
like it or not, gives you an air of "inside information" about the language. Thus,
when you start a rumour like this, it has a high degree of credibility by default.
It's no wonder so many people (myself included) tended to believe you. You
need to be more select in future with what you say about the language. ;)

Slow? You're kidding, right? PureBasic has one of the fastest update rates
that I've ever seen for ANY software package, and I have quite a few! :)
Closest example: Some PowerBasic updates take over a YEAR to occur.
Look at PureBasic's update history and they're every 3 months or so.
