I just warned, nothing more, to not have the off-topic section being a reference to competiting products.
And somebody just deleted my post about some .NET video tutorials...
Sorry if I pissed somebody off, but I don't think .NET is competitive at all.
I didn't know whe had these rules in OffTopic.
I will never talk about any other languages in these forums anymore.

Just for the record: it wasn't me. (Some people think I'm ruthless here,
so I just wanted to clear this up right away this time. I'm not the only
one who can delete posts).

You're not ruthless.
And...
Let me quote this " Quality software, cool name. " How sad...
Anyway, just 32bits compiler?... He should take care of 64bits as well, I believe it's the future, you like it or not.

So two entire threads that had reference to "advertising" were deleted and there's no censorship going on?

Not defending whoever deleted them, but censorship refers to silencing posts
about PureBasic and so on, and not about getting rid of blatant advertising
about competing products.

Blatent advertising?
Did you see the threads?
What about the post(s) on Blitz and variants?
These forums were what convinced me to buy PureBasic. I read a lot of discussions in here about Pure vs IBasic.
Fred sells a product for life, yet someone is afraid of a thread discussing an assembler tutorial?
I can see if it was an obvious attempt to sway someone to buy a competing product - advertising - but those threads were not that at all.
I mentioned that I believe the forums sold more copies of PureBasic than the main page.
The forums are certainly one of it's greatest strengths. My belief is that censorship will negatively impact that.
Actually, of the three threads in question, IMO this one comes closest to being "advertising" and it's the only one not deleted?
It's Fred's product and forums. He and his team can do as they please.
I'm disappointed.
cheers

@PB,
I'm sure you didn't do the dirty.

Strangely, one of them was mostly about nothing much at all, and had a section discussing censorship.
See it here:
Under the section
Censorship: It doesn't happen
@Joakim Christiansen
Can you pm me that link? I hadn't finished downloading all the videos - I haven't yet got the subversive one that required homeland security to step in!

Which threads have been deleted ? I don't have deleted any threads for age, so please calm down. We don't fear any competition or anything, i just put a note to ensure it won't go too far, nothing more. Is it that hard to understand ? Or I miss something obvious ?

hehe.
Okay, Dare2lock Holmes is on the trail.
More suspects remain:
Freak - Motive: Um, what does this button do?
Berikco - Motive: Hmmmm. Boards are too dull! Hehe

Let's stir things up!
Rings - Motive: Beer took out last braincell.
Ionicwinds (hacker) - Motive: Too many competing adverts!
Edit:
