I liked the ribbon; looked great to me.
I may look like a mule, but I'm not a complete ass.

I actually liked the look of the ribbon, albeit it was a little too "big" for my taste.. Oh well

Can you reinstate it as a Preference option maybe? Along with a size? (small / medium / large)

It surely looked better than the usual toolbars/menubars, but since I moved the different gadget types to the sidebar, the ribbon wasn't really useful.

It's actually better to have a more consistent UI between the IDE and the Form Designer as well ;)

I also liked the look of the ribbon but it was more Windows / Microsoft like.
When it comes to cross platform, the new approach might be more logical.

Without ribbons i can use the designer on my netbook too :D
The designer is not a toy, it is a tool

Well the ribbon is a nice interface for apps like Word I think, when you've got plenty of options. As the FD hasn't, it did make sense to remove it ;)

I also prefer the new version since it needs to be a productive tool. It also makes sense to make it look similiar to the PB IDE.

Quick screen of how the new menu editor will look like - not finished yet, still have to add drag and drop, and OS skins :)

I've finished working on the new menu tool, it's not perfect but much easier than the old one :)
It also makes the interface more consistent as almost everything is now handled in the main window :)
I'll try to release an update tonight or tomorrow, I need to fix my wifi connection first...

Wifi not working on my mac is really annoying - still managed to build beta 2.2!

Hopefully most of the things should be working fine, but as I did plenty of modifications since last update, there might be some problems here and there... Please test :)

I take this opportunity to thanks those who have donated, it really helps!

Thank you, Menü creation is fine :D

One small bug (others will follow  ), you should store x, y, w and h of designer in normalmode, not in maxmode (only the state).
If you have a maximized window and restores it, it is to large

I hope you understand my english.

Super impressive, the new designer is wonderful and simple to use.

I will test it deeply in the morning.
I found some problem in Menu , separators and sub-menu after re-opening the file.
I will try to replicate the bug and attach some example code.
