Does this enable our own static SQLite3.lib?

Yes, you should be able to just replace the .lib if you compile it with VC2022

Linux doesn't face the same issue than Windows, it should be already up to date toolchain wise.

I was expecting a hint of news about e.g. switching to vlc in media or abandoning gtk2 in favor of gtk3-gtk4 or something about qt6 ....

Sure, it will be done in time, we can't do all at once. 2023 was mostly a bug fix year with hundred of bugs squashed, we will continue this in 2024 as there is quite some left and try to do more feature based release.
