In beta 16, it happily told me about beta 18.

PB5.2b17LTS both (x86) and (x64) notified me correctly using Win7 Ultimate 64

In the file "UpdateCheck.xml", specified that the current release version of the PB - 5.20.

I suppose that PB compares the version PB of file on the disk and on the website. As will be informed of the release (when it appears), if at current moment of it already has the information in the file?

This check is for the future version, as released 5.11 does not have update check, it will indeed not work for the first version.

Couldn't the updates get installed automatically in the future?
I have to install 6 updates (Win x86, Win x64, Linux x86, Linux x64, Mac OS X x86, Mac OS X x64) every few days,
when helping to test BETAs.
On Mac OS X I have to do extra steps every time, because the PB developers are not certified or trusted developers.
So I have to install each version, and then give permission to run the un-trusted software (CTRL+click > "Open" on MacOSX in Finder)
every time.
Automatic update (and registering as Mac OS X developers) could fix this problems for thousands of users. Maybe quit
IDE automatically and run external update(,exe)? It would help many thousands of developers, so they don't need to
install 6 updates manually every few days.
For LTS it would help to install just the latest bug fixes, so only changed libs get downloaded and installed within the current installation directory.
