GIS and Database Application
(Windows only; ODBC or mySQL)
Natural Resources Database (NRDB)
http://www.nrdb.co.uk
i designed most of the new features myself but the main author/programmer is Richard Alexander (used C++/MFC) and its opensourced. hes looking for more programmers to pitch in though
this is the main reason why i got inspired to learn an easier language - PB (because C is so dang hard!) my ultimate dream someday (if ever i get good enough) is to port some of its code and maybe create a multi-platform GIS software similar to esri's arcview and make it available to development organizations all over the world as a free alternative to expensive esri applications. ..
well at least dreaming doesnt cost a cent

Unstoppable copier: This program will copy files no matter what. I used this to recover a CD that was giving me the cyclic redundancy error. Windows won't copy it but this will.

he has a few more cool free tools as well.

WinAudit: The programme reports on virtually every aspect of computer inventory and configuration. Results are displayed in web-page format, categorised for ease of viewing and text searching. Whether your interest is in software compliance, hardware inventory, technical support, security or just plain curiosity, WinAudit has it all. The programme has advanced features such as service tag detection, hard-drive failure diagnosis, network port to process mapping, network connection speed, system availability statistics as well as Windows® update and firewall settings.
It is a self-contained single file that needs no installation or configuration. It can be run from a floppy disk or USB stick. Simply download the programme and double click on it. User interface translations have been kindly contributed by several people, if possible WinAudit will automatically start in your language.

Well i can only suggest
http://www.kvraudio.com/
They got just about everything, from free to commercial. Instruments, hosts, effects. Lets just say nearly everything
check user ratings over free plugins:
http://www.kvraudio.com/ratings/9.html
edit: of the free things i think i only use superwave P8. It can do some cool stuff

About guitars and so on i'm not the one to ask. I think such instruments belong as analog hehe.

If you use KeyNote for PB projects (and for another affairs):
http://sourceforge.net/projects/keynote/
you probably will be interested in WebKeyNote, which was designed to convert KeyNote (.knt) files to HTML, retaining the tree-like structure of notes:
