My God DB sucks big time! I just recently let rip on the forum there, after buying the 'Pro' version on release, im still very dissatisfied with the so called upgrades. So i've burnt my copy  Still waiting for Fred to blow them out the water with PB's 3D! :D

Fred,

Well, there is BackColor

I'd like to cast my vote for long function names. They make code much more readable.

I agree, I like what Fred has done with PB. 8) Also, all of us that just can't wait for more 3D commands in PB, (including myself) will just have to wait. I rather that they're done correctly and not just thrown in to make us happy. Cheers

I love both... and will continue buying them, forever and forever...

:D

Yeahhh - DarkBasic and RealBasic sucks!! and Jamagic... Sorry to say... I liked AMOS for the Amiga...

Gah!!! Die! Die! Die!

Even Fred will tell you Blitz kicked AMOS's ass on the Amiga! ;)

Enemies overrated and unproductive

Well one has to ask why should there be enemies at all and concentrate on coding and moving forward.

It seems to me the entire enemies thing is counter productive.

Waste of time

That was a waste of time. Maybe with all that time you spent over there you could have made some real PB docs. This is what I mean by counter productive.

Ah, gotta love it when guys turn up out of the blue criticising others for not working hard for their benefit.

I don't care for ememies i use which ever tool gets the job done the quickest and easiest! This so happens to be PB (mainly because it rocks!) I also agree with Fred and others that other decent languages put pressure (the good sort) on the authors to create good software. I just hate being ripped off by a product that promised but didn't (and still doesn't) deliver! i.e. DB It doesn't even do what it says on the box!

You what? 8O are you real? *Shocked at the cheek!*

Well I was answering the start of the thread why PB isn't going to die because of BlitzMax and I think I answered that very well, but I don't spend my time just dwelling on it.

Well I think there is a full demo of the language isn't there? Just like any of these other languages if you try it and its not complete and you buy it, your the only one to blame.

Like I said, I answered the perons question at the begining of this thread. Thats all I was trying to do, but unlike Kale here I don't go over and make entire new threads of flames out of nothing. If Kale put all that destructive energy into putting out docs instead of making new threads just to flame a product that he didn't have sense enough to try in the first place, we could have some very well documented functions and code that many of us including me could use in our own programs.

Don't get so serious about it all. This is still fun.

To summarise:

The spectrum was better than the Commodore 64.

The Amiga was better than the Atari ST.

PureBasic is better than DarkBasic.

These are undeniable truths. Only a moron could disagree!
