  • Total completion of French and English descriptions

  • Correction of 'Codes search' function for unicode characters coded with surrogate pairs (thanks to Idle & (indirectly) Demivec for their trick)

I just downloaded and test the V2.20 archive and, for me, everything works correctly.

Here, the folder where I unzipped the archive, renamed the application to Tool.exe and the English language file to Tools-lang.xml. Labels are in English :


And when I incorrectly rename the English language file, the labels are in French, the default language

Version 2.30 : 258 HTML codes of national and international flags added

• Click on the '' button to access the list.
• Once the symbol or the HTML code is copied and pasted to a HTML or any other page/program capable of handling them, the flag will appear in graphic form (note that each browser, social network, etc. has its own stylistic representation of flags !). E.g., 'UN' will display here

• For those who use this tool and would have modified/translated partially or in totality the XML language file, it will just be enough to copy/paste the XML flag part (<Flag> nodes) of the new v2.30 language file in the version modified/translated.

Feature request:
1. Maybe you can increase the preview character size (at least with emojis) to see they better?
2. Maybe we can select an own font to test if some character/symbol/emoji is supported?

Ok, I'll take these 2 requests into consideration.
But for the second, concerning emojis, according to my research, few fonts are able to display them and none manage which are not displayed by the 'SEGOE UI' font. That's why I use this one for lists.

No need to register, when you get that popup message, your download is already initiated

• It's not necessary to register. Just wait a little bit for the download to complete. Depending on your browser settings, the download will be done automatically or a file requester will open to choose the destination directory.

• Possibility to choose font and font size for character preview and character lists (Warning: changing preferences related to character preview will require a restart of the app to be fully active. This is due to the non-dynamic management of gadgets size created with OpenDialog())
• Display of a tooltip when hovering the first column ('Symbol') of character lists added
• Pantone 3 color list data fixed (400 colors added)
• Bug regarding the display color of the previewed character fixed

Important note: If you are using version 2.50 of the localization XML file, it's absolutely necessary to replace the '2.40 additions' subsection of the 'Buttons and labels' section by the '2.51+ additions' subsection of new version 2.53
