A computer can emulate anything than can be mathematicly solved. If the brain is build on logic, it can be emulated. If there is some kind of "magic" happening it cant.

The brain isnt like a computer but a computer program can be like a brain.

But it would be impossible to recreate the greatest thing in existence. The sun is going in circles around the earth and the earth is at the center of the universe, because we are so important.

The sad truth is, governments can take your rights away, they did that, they do it and they will do it.
The one that has to decide about your rights is no other than You. You have to think about what you need and want for rights and you have to fight for them. The rights we are privileged to live on now are the result of people fighting for them, starting revolutions, whole wars. Many people died for our human rights, they didnt had them. No one but you can ensure your rights.
And if you think that justifys things like slavery, it may be better you stick with your ideas that god decides.

I have come across both the items above that you linked to before. Both very interesting !

There was a kid who lost his right arm to a 'gator this summer, who now has a new prosthetic arm that can do pretty amazing stuff.

I think it uses electrical signals to control it, but all the fingers in the hand have independent motors, so he could pick up an egg, or crush a beer can - and they say when he becomes adept enough he will even be able to type on a keyboard with it.
