Re: What happened to srod?
I found an alternative email address for him, so I've tried that.

Re: What happened to srod?
He'll probably come back here after being on holidays and have a good chuckle at our concerns.
Then he'll be like, "Damn, I forgot to pay the webhosting bill before I left!".

Microsoft Visual Basic only lasted 7 short years: 1991 to 1998.

Re: What happened to srod?
this is purely conjecture... but it is the same hosts that srod uses but the domain privacy on a whois doesn't prove it conclusively. [edit]and a quick google search seems to link it to a lot of srods sites...[/edit]

[EDIT]
Now even the link above, previously accessible, stopped working. It's almost like someone he's deleting stuff a piece at a time.

Re: What happened to srod?
I remember one of the last things srod said in this forums was something about somebody
has hacked into his site and the software on it. His provider send him a message about
a virus on his site or in his software or something like this.
He wanted to install a script to change the software back if it gets changed?
Don't remember exactly, but it was a little bit... umm... crazy story?

well either way it would appear to the case, he's either been hacked or his sites have suffered from a server update. just view the source

Re: What happened to srod?
I tried to contact Stephen using both his personal and business email addresses. No response yet unfortunately. I do hope he is OK, it's been a month since his last post.

Be aware of the differences between black bear and grizzly bear scat. Black bear scat is smaller and contains lots of berries and squirrel fur.
Grizzly bear feces has bells in it and smells like pepper.

Re: What happened to srod?
Well, my theory is that sRod is re-vamping his web sites and at the same time decided to change Host and possibly ISP too. That would knock-out most communication paths.

The funny part here is that you're giving a link into your gmail account, so we can't see it. Is that the modern version of giving a link to ones files on the c:\drive ?skywalk wrote:A funny sign
