i think i got it! how about a female cogwheel?
- easy to render
- easy to animate
- recognizable
- possible in 3d as well as 2d
hey, you can have a whole family of those beasties!
yellow loves pink, blue is always sleepy, red is somehwat develish, purple is sweet but silly and somewhat dumb and in love with yellow, etc.
(it's quite amazing what you can do to reflect emotions just using the eyes)

i think the text nearby the drawing of the girl should be changed to 'what makes you tick'
