So true, and it was a pain to use API, especially since I had to deal with two systems quite different...!
Maybe one day this will be made native

Yes they are - I'm working on this gadget and on the textedit gadget too, taking my time so that the result is good

From last version, I fixed the text input, and the text formatting. Ended up getting a smaller source code
There's a few minor things that I want to do until I start testing it.
However I'll probably sell a source code licence only, expensive probably, but then I don't have to mess around with Tailbite library or dlls, and your project is safer as you own the source

Can't wait to test it
As for releasing as licensed source code, personally i prefer that option

... Anyway, it is your baby and you sell it as you see suitable

I might have a beta release soon, I still need to do some more testing

What features are you planning?

ATM not more than what is explained on the first post: grid gadget with editing features including text formatting, crossplatform.
When I get some beta testers I'll be able to improve the API which is OK but incomplete especially on the event sides. Doesn't require a lot of work though

I would appreciate it
I was actually about to start working on my own when I stumbled across yours!

I'll try to get something ready, it'd be sad to see the code sleeping in my computer

Just to say I've reviewed my code, tweaked up a few things and all.
As said before compared to the example I posted last year the text formatting has been improved.
There's one or two things I'd like to improve but it's working overall:
I'm not very happy with the "Excel scrollbars", I should probably add an option to either use the Excel-like scrollbars (adapt to the cells content) or normal scrollbars (adapt to the grid size).
And there's probably a few helping functions I could add, but for that, basically, I need some people to use the gadget
Thus I'm now selling it, source code licence (free updates). Obvious to say you can do anything with it except reselling it as a grid gadget library

It's still in beta (i.e there might be bugs), though I'll be updating and you'll never got stuck as you have the source code anyway.
PM me if you're interested (bear in mind it's expensive, due to the source code licence)
