CHM - COMPARISON -4.31 -4.40

Hello once again,
so now I've compared both Pb-Help-versions of PB 4.31 u. 4.40 for the german and english edition with each other to receive an overview about innovations or changes.
Thereby a list of the according Html pages (and pictures / examples) has come out which I would like to supply to you. (However, it makes no declaration about concrete changes, only where they took place. The numerical data concern the occurring files.)
As the list of new items is the same for both versions it should correspond to the french edition as well ;)

Have fun on researching ~ PB-chm-431-440.txt

greetings ~ Vera

Vera, I just want to say that comparing those is a great idea and will definitely help everyone switching to the next version!

Many many thanks for all the hard work :D. With such great releases there's no wonder there are some who want to see the site down...

Nice release! For the even Version number and as a small X-Mas Gift I just donated 20$ to the PB Team.

My peersonal wishes for the future:
1st - @PB Team: Relax, have a very nicht X-Mas and a happy and a prosperous new year
2st - More cross platform compatibilty (Linux & MAC) compared to Windows
3nd - VD for Linux & MAC
4rd - Drop support for xyz$, thats just ugly to read - Vars should be declared by default with a type (.s .b .l ect.) this way code would be much cleaner to read, understand and maintain
5th - Probably more OOP support

Verry good work all over all, thank you very much

PS: I did not released it here, but probably some of you are just using my OpenSource PureBasic project QuietHDD, hosted at http://code.google.com/p/quiethdd/

No way. If you don't like it, you don't need to use it. It's Basic.

I don't like it, I mostly don't use it, and I'm sometimes upset when I used it ;-) And all over all IT IS MY WISH FOR THE FUTURE. Not every wish gets fulfilled....

What you fail to realise, is that your wish, if implemented, will break all my source codes and the source codes of everyone else who uses it... just because of your own little personal dislike of it, when you don't even need to use it yourself in the first place. Again, no thanks. Wish for something else that doesn't majorly affect other people's work.

Thanks Guys, great work, and donation sent. :D

Oh, and I agree with UserOfPure, please don't eliminate xyz$.
Perhaps it is ugly, but I find it useful at times.

Particularly when I am storing a number value as a string, to clearly self document that the value is a string.
Oh, and its not just basic, I have seen it in other languages as well.
PHP comes immediately to mind, although IIRC, the $ is a prefix to the variable name in PHP.

Dave
