I read somewhere that they will have a plugin compatible with Firefox. Adblock and some of my plugins would be nice to integrate there. :D

Overall, It was what I was expected from Google. Fast, Efficient, 'Snazzy'.

I also get the input bug that when I am typing, sometimes the input control doesn't refresh (more often when I enter a new line).

I wish the theme colour could be changed though, So I could change it to match my Black Google widget side bar and black XP theme (Zune).

I am very impressed with the whole changing from Thread to Process architecture with it. Certainly makes the difference.

This thread prompted me to do a quick search for what other browsers are available.

Has anyone given Opera a try lately? It's really smart and the annoying advertising banner has been dumped.

tried opera for a bit and turned back to firefox again, i just like it. Nothing against opera at all of course, but firefox's feature set and layout just seems to suit me well :)

I've been using Firefox for a long time too but I really do like Opera, I'm going to give it a good test drive for a few days.

doesn't have the google toolbar and the extension that ff has :(
I'd love to use it though if only it supported them.

did the version you tried have the 'Speed Dial' feature? I'm in love with that already.

Nope i don't think it had. I just installed it and it doesn't look like i remember it, but the speed dial seems like a pretty cool little feature!

I'm just writing from it now checking out a few things. Check the sidebar (top left button) notes etc.

It changed the way of working a bit since last time, i recall it worked mostly in something like MDI and so on. Pretty interesting :)

I was recently using Opera myself, but when I visited a website for some Windows Themes, it infected me with that damn "XP Antivirus 2008" malware program. I was a bit upset because I thought Opera might be a bit more safer to use and wouldn't get hit by such a thing, but it did. So I'm back to using FireFox with some plugins to prevent such things from hitting me again.

Other than that, Opera has come a long long way. Solid, useful, well done if you ask me.

Until then have a look at this:

How much longer will Firefox be with us seeing as Google was the biggest sponsor of Mozilla?

The best Mozilla developers have already been poached by Google and Chrome is very much built on Firefox knowledge.

Mozilla have already pulled the plug on Thunderbird, probably because Google wants everyone to use G-Mail, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Firefox go next.

*frowns*

They claim that Chrome is powerful and fast... yet it isn't written in PureBasic... Would that be a lie then? ;)

Maybe they'll release PureChrome :)
