Create DLLs? :)

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

Who is this guy?
Why does he don't mention the PB Visual IDE ha ha?

When i say BIG BOYS im talking about $$$$$

PureBasic are now in the middle, its not a small compiler anymore but its growing...
Just take a look at the PowerBasic forum !!! Thousand of users !!
And most will come here some day... why?
Because what PowerBasic gives (BASIC language, speed and small exe without the need of runtimes) can be done in PureBasic...

Its my point of view...

Yes, taking the Visual Basic users is a good idea because many of them are not
happy with the new Visual Basic (VB.NET) and are looking for alternatives...
Allright !

And for Delphi, I had the Pro Version of Delphi and Kylix to do Plattformcrossing. But its Pascal, not Basic. And the size is growing up.Not a 35 kbyte exe

Getting better with a little help from my friends....thx Siggi

I agree. As he's obviously not a PB user, I've locked his profile (he didn't even have the guts to leave a real email address).

Another way of looking at all the anti-PureBasic posts: If somebody has to bash
something, then that something is obviously a threat to the competition, at least
in some way.

After all, nobody would bash something if it posed no threat...

I can't see what all the fuss is. I bought PureBasic ages ago, I also own Blitz and vb. I use the language best suited to the job at hand. I use Blitz for games, vb/vba for work stuff (not my choice :-( ) and I have PureBasic for tools and utils at home.

Fred is doing an amazing job with PureBasic and from what he has said here the future is looking great.

I've owned a lot of Basic's over the years too and they all had great features (That I could see). PowerBasic's biggest 2 problems that might conceivably kill it are 1.) It takes nearly two years to geta bug fix from the company (that's a commercial killer right there. 2.) The forum members always tell you to "go look here, go look there" instead of actually helping each other.

With PureBasic, I've ALWAYS gotten help, either from Fred (when he wasn't too busy (grin)) or the forum members with code (Gasp!) examples!! How's that for service???

Just as an aside, it took me 3 pages of code to do a recursive directory routine in PowerBasic. With Fred's PB, it took around 15 lines!!! (And it was a lot faster)

Ricardo, please keep going with your IDE. Between you and PB's offerings, I have done some great things lately with gui's. Can't get things like yours for other Basic's without big buckaroonies!!

Regards

Fangles
