Hmmmm, the file seems good. I have no idea why it is failing, but I might have the cure. Uninstall the old crappy version and get v2.4 from my website. In case this will not work, lemme just say "D'oooooh?" before . Before installing this version make sure to uninstall the old one and also the installations made with the 2.0 version.
Changes:
# Interface tweaks and reorganization in the stub and main program
# BIM's main window can be freely resized now
# Fixed some wrong controls and small problems in stub
# Optimizations, removed useless code
# Fixed a bug in the shortcuts task, "Start in" field
# Added possibility to uninstall the older version of the program before new installation
# The Add/Remove programs icon can now be customized
# Fixed some mistakes in the translations
# If a .NET framework version is not found, you can now redirect the user to a custom web-page
# Instead of the old picture preview system, now you can preview the graphics on a simulated BIM Installer window
# Fixed temporary build directory path (that could have made problems on Vista)
# New location for settings, in the user's home directory
# Updated help
# Added splash-screen in main window
# Various minor fixes and improvements
Lemme know if I need to kick myself yet again . Oh, and what os do you have? It might be an isolated bug :/.

What would you need to be translated into Spanish (Texas - Mexico - American Continent Spanish) I could maybe help there Very Happy
That would rule! But if you want to translate it take your time with it . Good thing it wasn't translated until now, because the labels changed pretty much. Let me know if you need anything .
[Edit]
Thanks to Arno Krumpholz, BIM is now available in the German language .

BIM is a really good app. I've been using NSIS and later Inno Setup. Those are great tools, but BIM is simple and still powerful enough for my needs. I will spread the word. I will also use BIM in my next project.
- Included the German translation in the package
- Only a single instance of the help file is allowed, if the old help file is
minimized, it will be restored in order to save space on the taskbar
- The current language is selected so you don't have to select it manually each time you open the Settings dialog
- Fixed a small bug in the stub, in the StartMenu section
- Fixed a bug that was making BIM not to write the path to images if they were not loaded correctly
- Improved a bit the documentation
- Fixed some untranslated labels
- Added font installation action
- BIM can run without administrator priviledges under Win 2000, XP and Vista
# Added Dutch and Spanish translation
# Fixed Run program action, there were some problems running batch files
# Fixed Run program hidden option
# Fixed actions window not showing up options in edit mode
# Fixed toolbar buttons width problem
# While moving tasks, the active task remains selected so you can repeat the operation
# Fixed comboboxes not showing contents on Windows 2000 (height was not adjusted automatically)

Thanks, this is great.
I noticed on your forum some mention of using it as just a packager, with the option to not create an uninstaller or additional shortcuts and stuff. This would be a pretty good feature to use for simple update tasks.
