Hmmm... PureBasic is great, but not cool!

For everything that's not in any way related to PureBasic. General chat etc...

Yeah, flawless and complete OpenGL and DirectX calling would be...
I can see whole engines being coded in PureBasic.

There is a flaw in this logic you all pontificate so readily.

Getting people to agree on which flavor of 3D engine to base a 3D philosophy is about as difficult as getting the LINUXheads to agree on which distribution that everyone should install...

Now... the LEVEL EDITOR idea??? That is another story... there are enough talented people on this thread to write several LEVEL EDITORS... (myself excluded!) I wouldn't mind seeing a 22D and an ISOMETRIC level editor supported by Blitz.

Oh, and OPEN GL hates my computer! :D
Binarily speaking... it takes 10 to Tango!!!

Hi Fred, I certainly didn't mean to bug you! :) Hope life's good to you!
Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.

Okay.. Where can we see this 3D work PB doesn't do as good a job with? No hurry I'll just be browsing the net while I wait..

i thought PB is a compiler not a game designer anyway, so if a programmer doesn't like OGRE or whatever 3D/gfx PB natively has on offer then PB is powerful enough to let you call on pretty much any other engine of your choosing, or even directly link in static .lib's :)

I didn't actually look at dates or profiles I just read some posts after seeing it at top of the section. Language criticism threads fascinate me cause I'm curious how some of the people would know things having never finished projects or bench-marked or reverse-engineered..

I think we even had another C++ is better thread recently.

How the irony eludes you.
Texas Instruments TI-99/4A Home Computer: the first home computer with a 16bit processor, crammed into an 8bit architecture. Great hardware - Poor design - Wonderful BASIC engine. And it could talk too! Please visit my YouTube Channel :D
