I have a Netgear WNR834B router which uses the new N standard (although it's not an official standard yet) which puts out 270Mbit on the wireless side and I run zonealarm on all my computers and as yet have found no problems.

Have you tested if you get better speed with another FW?

Well, maybe ZoneAlarm is better now - it was a couple of years since I did that test.

I have to admit that I mostly use it all for shared internet and as mine is only 2mbits the router's speed is definately overkill but I do move the odd large file around using the network and that seems to fly along so I haven't actually got around to any speed tests yet.
You're right about the FW's coming along over the years, Zonealarm has certainly got better.
