The game was installed at "C:\Program Files\Hover-Bots"

Running the game as an Administrator doesn't resolve the issue.

After rebooting the game looks more like it would really run in fullscreen mode, but a thin window border is still visible.

I tried it, but I get much more invalid memory accesses then and I can't find a solution for them.

My PB engine is tailbited and therefore the support for my PB engine stopped at PB 3.94. I will try fixing those bugs but I cannot promise anything :-( .

@Dummy: Thanks.

Nice game! What are you using to model your objects? I found a nice lightwave plugin, making it relatively easy to do nice stuff :)

np, I'm glad to be able to help you as full Vista compatibility seems to be a pretty difficult issue for applications that use advanced 3D acceleration features.

I've addded some additional information to my bugreport.

Do you have access to the sources of your PB engine? If so I could take a look into it and try to make it vista or at least PB 4.xx compatible if you want. ;)

Update to Hover-Bots 1.5:

- Fully ported to PureBasic 4.20
- Fixed a few IMAs
- Usermode request enabled for Vista (Hopefully this will help)
- Made the bots easier

Same links as always:

HP
http://www.bradan.eu/projects/hoverbots/

Download
http://www.bradan.eu/projects/hoverbots/DemoSetup.exe

Buy it here
http://www.bradan.eu/

Please test it again.

P.S.:
You need to run the Options.exe in Admin mode on Vista (Otherwise it won't write to the preferences file). I can't compile it in Admin mode, because my antivirus software thinks its a virus then.

@djes:
Thanks, I used my own mesheditor and the one from 3DGameStudio.

First time I played the game.
Runs without any problem.
(XP Pro SP3 uk / Video = GeForce 8800GT 512Mb))

Got 2nd place in easy mode.. :)
For me, that's an achievement.

Tested here (XP), it works fine.

If needed to test in Vista tell me, in XP works fine.

Nice game. My only suggestion (and its just a point of view) is to make the bots/characters graphics more "cartoon like", more eye-candy (i hope i express myself). My son (5 yo) saw it and he dont understand what the bots/characters was and don't feel like its "friendly" for him.

It was just a comment, not a criticism.

The game is fine, its funny to play, congratullations for a nice work!!

You have to install new graphicscard drivers, then it will run in hardware mode.
