Oh! Noooo... That's rainmeter !!!Killswitch wrote:OhI thought you'd coded all of the desktop information as well (CPU/Current track etc)!
Same guy that makes rainlendar, he makes awsome code!

Pretty much the same thing as Active Desktop Calendar (http://www.xemico.com/adc/index.html) which I've been using for years,
It's customizable but not skinable which is fine by me because I never cared for "skins" and would prefer that programs that use skins give you the option to turn them off...Or at the very least give you a skin that doesn't look like one.
Couldn't have said it better myself.Tipperton wrote:It's customizable but not skinable which is fine by me because I never cared for "skins" and would prefer that programs that use skins give you the option to turn them off...Or at the very least give you a skin that doesn't look like one.
I'd love to learn how to skin my apps, for my users, not for my own. I personally prefer a nicely designed program using the Windows controls and look instead of all that nifty graphics stuff

You can download rainmeter and rainlendar source code from the site...GeoTrail wrote:I'd love to learn how to skin my apps, for my users, not for my own. I personally prefer a nicely designed program using the Windows controls and look instead of all that nifty graphics stuff
Nice API tricks in there by the way
@Num3
Thanks for the Rainlender tip, even though I have a license for Active Desktop Calendar, there are features I and a bunch of other users would like that Xemi Computers seems to be ignoring because they are years old.
Also I have a number of program that also use Lua for scripting customization, its a really neat way to give users the ability to adjust a program's behavior to suit their needs.
The one thing I'm not looking forward to is translating my data to it but Lua should come in handy for that if needed.
PS: Since they have a free version, if you haven't already, you should add it to the good freeware stuff thread....

You are maybe a saint if you was able to handle that!!Rook Zimbabwe wrote:I am not a person easy to anger... not really... I spent 10 years teaching Middle School and IMPO I have patience.
Im not agree.DESKTOP CLEANUP
You have unused icons on your desktop... SO FREAKING WHAT!!!!![]()
I think that many people need it (my mother is one of them he he).
It's not a mess! I use most if not all those programs, maybe not every day but often enough to want them on the desktop.ricardo wrote:Its your desktop or the recyclebin content? he he Because the mess!!
It's also not a mess because each line has a purpose, the third line for example is all games, the fifth and sixth lines are programming tools, the last line is Internet related, and so on...
By doing it that way I can find any program on the desktop almost instantly.
