Kids - what you gonna do with them.

My wife is asleep so I can't laugh too loud but this is so funny that I am rolling in my seat (and I can't sleep because of the heat).

Not really sure what era I was born in/to but I remember hand held abacus's being demonstrated as calculators. That was demonstrated as a practical alternative to fingers. Despite that, I think rsts wins.

I like your nickname too, used it a lot in my old modems:):):)

Nice code, thank you very much :)

I took a Fortran class years ago in college, we used punch cards back then. The first real personal computer I ever used was a PET. But the first computer I ever really used was a kit used in some additional engineering classes that had the then brand new Z-80 processor and 1KB of memory and was programmed with front panel switches with nixie tube read outs that indicated a logic 1 or 0, this predated the PET. Everything else was mainframe back then for the most part.

Damn right I did...and PROUD of it too! Punch cards and an abacus...pfft...I did all my computing in my head...which could explain why I rarely had correct answers for anything past 10 * 10 :?

I always use a fresh crop of hamster to calculate with but you can't count on them furry suckers in the heat. They get scared and faint. Who needs a head when you have hamsters??? What head?? There's nothing in mine anyway.

Sparkie, I had some good lines ready about the pictures but I get error 404 here so I am not suffering yet :D :D :D :D :D

You and me both - but I believe I've got more ice than you and you've got more snow. These past few days have been pretty bad. On the positive side, the ice is the most beautiful I can ever remember seeing and with the temps, it's hanging around (literally).

The sunshine through the ice covered branches is simply beautiful.

Sure glad I didn't have to drive in it, and the kids have been off school for the past three days, so they're OK with it.

Now for the 50,000+ without power, they don't think it's quite so nice.

cheers

Sir netasaurus, I love the vb style much better. Just one question. When I am typing the number, pressing the "." works as expected to get me to the fractional portion but then I cannot use the left arrow key to go back to the whole portion, I have to use the mouse. Since I am on the keyboard and typing anyway, the arrow keys should also shift left/right through the available masked fields.

Don't know how hard this would be for you with so much ice to spare!

Sure, no problem. Should work now, thanks for the tip!

Okay, one more thing then (Boy, you are going to hate me).

I should be able to overtype the digits in any position , not just have to press DELete on them first :):)

Please do no send any hit men to this address, I am allergic:):)

I'll have to plan the attack on that one, I'll sleep on it and take a whack at it tomorrow. It sounds like a desirable feature, just not necessarily that easy to do.

What's so hard about "Please do no send any hit men to this address??"

Send me hit women by all means but no blondes.

Got a problem with blondes, or is it that they are too dumb to reason with?
