Any News?
I don't want to be nerving, but I'm so happy, that it is under development! I've got so many expectations. Although PB4Lin is already great... I just feel anxious, like the Windows users did some month ago! (And I know lots of people preferred a 4.0 beta 1 to 3.94, just to check out all the new commands an features).

:D

Fred gave a recent update here:

beware, an endless loop is in there somewhere.

It's been a while now. So I'm wondering if anyone got the private release and if so, how's the GTK2?

No, I haven't. Maybe others do?
But a few days ago I read a post from André, where he said that it will still take some weeks (?) to share the private Alphas. Don't know.
Maybe some insiders know more. ;)

Yep - which is why I don't use KBASIC.
As I understand it, KBASIC dropped QT support meanwhile:
KBasic was intented to be Qt based till July 2006. Unfortunately, the Qt licenses I have bought do not allow me to use it for KBasic as I wished, as Trolltech told me July 2006. So Qt support will not be available anymore.

Now I can't get any of the 3.94 IDE's to start, so I'm hoping for 4 soon.

what about a mplayer support (windowed & fullscreen), instead of Quicktime? I remember mplayer can play in canvas an so on, or do I took fool?

What about creating .so files, rather than .dll.

I have not very much expert on Linux, and have looked for a mediaplayer for Linux in some time, and that possisble to creating so files (if I remember correct does the same thing as dll).

mplayer support sounds nice, but let's see what Fed and the PureBasic development team will bring us.
