Seriously, on the subject, there are at least four objects in the solar system that should bear evidence of life if "Life" is as universal as some people want to believe. That includes Venus, Earth, Mars, and one of the moons circling Jupiter. So far, the only clear evidence is that it does exist on Earth. But if we can ever prove that it existed on Mars, we can double our estimates of where life might exist in the whole of the universe.

Second, the universe is not infinate. It may seem incredibly large, but it does not go on forever. And while many more stars have planets than we once
assumed, a lot of those stars would make a poor sun for their planets. And planet size, distance from the star, and composition are very important.

Third, the earth seems to have a very unique history. First, it has a large
moon. Current theory is that the moon was formed when the earth was
quite young, and struck by another planet about the size of Mars. Several things then happened: (1) They collided, (2) Plasma from the collision was thrown into orbit about the earth, (3) The heavier elements from both planets settled into the core of earth, (4) the plasma condensed into
the moon. As a result, the earth has a much heavier iron core than normally found in a planet this size, and the resuling magnetic field shields us from a lot of the damaging rays from the sun. At the same time, the collision caused the earth to rotate fast, and the circling moon caused it to stablize on its axis. The result is a series of temperate region around the earth where different lifeforms could adapt and live by becoming specialized, suited to their environment. The result is that while life can live under some extreme conditions here on earth, each environment tends to remain stable for long periods, giving life a chance to adapt and
florish in that environment.

So, we thrive here in part because the earth has been a good home to
us, and we should be aware that there are so many things that make the earth unique, including how it and the moon came to be, that we cannot really say if there are more "habitable" planets or not. What we do know is that Venus is so much like earth, yet so alien and inhospitable, and Mars so baren, cold, and awash in a flood of destructive solar radiation, that if these three planets would all be considered to be in the "hospitable" or
temperate range, then we are going to be very disappointed with our results at finding other suitable worlds for life. There are just too many things that could have gone wrong, and did go wrong on the other two planets.

And earth has not always been that hospitable to life. We have gone through numerous mass extinctions in the past, and we do not always know the precise cause. The earth was once frozen over, with only the ocean able to sustain life. Then it heated up fast, probably as a result of volcanic activity, and the emission of greenhouse gases as it heated up made it get really hot, and that caused another extinction phase. We may be entering another warming cycle now, or we may be on the verge of another ice age. Right now, it is hard to say. My thoughts are that we are going see the world start heating up in a big way in the next couple of decades. If that happens, the question of whether there is life elsewhere will become moot - there won't be many of us left to wonder any more.

A Macro just does code substitution, it does not change priority of operations.
You are trying to treat the Macro as though it behaves as a procedure, which
it is not.

You may not believe in God, but that does not mean he does not exist. Your problem could be your preference not to inconvenience yourself by trying to explore your spiritual side, but rather to live a life of self indulgence and strictly personal choice.

I concede that believing in God does not guarantee he exists, but then a
belief in anything would be better if it offers some hope. People who only
believe in personal experience, observations, science, technology, and even philosophy and mathematics, cannot escape one unmistakable fact: Faith founded on any of those will eventually bring death. While religion is often grouped under philosophy, most religions try to offer hope as well. If God does exist, won't it mean more in his eyes if you came to him willingly, rather than wait until you lose hope in other things and try to come to him in desperation?

Those that chose to believe in God can tell you that they gain reassurance
by their faith. Life is still a challenge, but it is no longer the only thing on
the plate. As to which religion is the "right" one, it is any religion that puts
God first. So there are many "right" religions, but also some that say that
they put God first (but you can see that, in fact, they do not).

Attempts to ridicule the Holy Bible, based on this statement or that, is not beneficial to a better understanding of what the Bible teaches us. The Bible is based on an earlier understanding by man, and the truths that he could accept for that age. We generally concede that creation took time
that could not be measured in earth days. My best guess is that each day corresponds to roughly 2 billion earth years.

The Bible is maintained in its original form because it appears to have been inspired writing, given by dream or vision to the writer or writers. We have no later inspiration to use for revising it, so it essentially remains the same. Other books have been written that also claim to give witness to God. I have passing familiarity with a couple of these, which are the
Koran and the Book of Mormon. I'm sure many can name others as well.

To me, God is something I personally believe in. As I get older, I am
increainly glad I have that faith. As I face an uncertain future, not just
my own, but the whole world, which is ever on the brink of yet another
disaster, I take comfort because God gives me reassurance that my
faith is not in vain.

What you chose to believe is entirely your business. Or disbelieve, for that matter. I also believe that man can damage this world so badly, that
we will all suffer greatly as a consequence. A part of that believe is that
man proves over and over that greed and indifference work to the
betterment of those that profit at others' expense. The Bible tells us that man has a sinful nature, and cannot be redeamed by his own works. So to me, we are likely to perish though those works, which include the byproducts of polution and contamination. So Global Warming (or Cooling,
or whatever) seem real possibilities. Many see it differently, but of those,
a large number argue personal beliefs, not based in fact, scientific
observation, or derived theory.

I make an effort to look for links that deal with fact and observations, not
just opinions. And the people that don't want to accept what might happen
are usually the type that only focus on their own personal observations or
experiences. Yet some of those would just as soon as not to believe in
Aliens, abuctions, UFOs, the Bermuda Triangle, hauntings, fortune telling,
government conspiracies (JFK murder, faked moon landing, you name it).

There, that should give some of you at least a dozen different topics to
sound off on. But might I suggest that you try to research a topic and
make sure of your facts, and make sure the links you check out go to some effort to present real facts, not just more unsubstantiated opinions,
that just happen to agree with yours.

Heeh!
You all must know about the fact that nowadays, the global scientific community is not sure whether the human being was developed IN Earth or he was born OUT Earth.
In the second case all we are ETs.

And BTW; the humans was first, and Gods was after some of them

So what evidence is there for this? All I've seen to date is some discussion about how life might have originated on Mars as nanobacteria, and came to earth in rocks thrown up by meteor strikes on Mars. That theory also says that this could have been the beginning of life on earth, but there is no way to prove it, and many biologist still do not believe that nanobacteria really exists, that it could be some sort of chemical process that we have not encountered before.

Of course a lot of people are convinced that ETs settled here in the distant past, but that is mere speculation, No real evidence for this exists at all. A study of the so-called landing sites in South America are actually trails to different watering sites, trails between population centers, and the huge artwork figures are likely appeasements to the sun god in an effort to get gentler treatment - the region went dryer and eventually the inhabitants died out or moved on.

What you believe and what can be proved are two entirely different things.
I have a brother-in-law that comes up with some of the oddest and most outrageous statements, because he meets with a bunch of guys daily at a coffee shop and likes to gossup. He believes everything they say, and will tell them things he heard somewhere else. Not one of them ever bothers to try and find out if there is any truth to the stories. Fact is, they don't care if they are true or not, they'd rather just believe what they hear if it means something they can pass on.

When I met and married my wife, she had a 13 year old boy by a previous marriage that came to live with us. One day he started telling me about how there was this Bermuda Triangle where ships and planes were being sucked down in a huge whirlpool that would come and go mysteriously. He told me that he thought the whirlpool was actually sucking them into another dimension or time. I told him that was just wild speculation, that it was true some ships and planes had been lost in that region, but there is no evidence or proof of what made them vanish.

He told me I was wrong, that they had proved all this and I was just out of touch. I asked them where this had been proven, and he said, On TV. It thurned out to be another one of the pseudo-science, imagnination run wild episodes that people love to watch.

I had to try and explain to him that TV is more about entertainment and giving people shows that they will tune in and watch. What you see on TV is just as suspect as what you read in comics or see in the movies, or even read in many books. For many people, the truth is boring and too limited to satisfy them. They would rather twist the truth and make it something others are willing to be convinced by. And it helps if it makes a book a best seller or a movie a blockbuster, because you can get rich from it at the same time.

So much of what goes on around us is pure fiction today. You hardly see anyone that is accustomed to putting fiction aside and focusing on what is real and provable. For me to enjoy a movie, it not only has to be well made and have no glaring mistakes, but I have to suspend judgement while it is running so that I can milk it for some pleasure, just follow the story line and ask no questions. But in the aftermath, my mind will review what I've seen, and find all manner of flaws. Some programs are just so bad that I can't enjoy them, even for a little bit, and I have to leave or change the channel.

I don't know what chance a younger person has to get behind the mask of fiction and entertainment today, because they've been exposed to it all their lives, and learned to accept much of what they've been shown as though it really happened that way, or something is really true when it is not.

That son I mentioned grew up, in a manner of speaking, and got married, and that marriage fell apart. I guess it started off well enough, and they had a son, but somewhere along the way I think his ex-wife decided that her life was just too boring, and that she should be spicing it up in the manner of a soap opera. So she did some things, and made some bad decisions, that tore that marriage apart. I wonder how many people watch soap operas and also think that these shows should be an example of how life should be lived?

How about that old saying, "Better to keep your mouth closed and thought dumb, than to speak up and prove it beyond doubt". There's a lot of other ways the same thing has been said, but you get the drift. I just like the double meaning of the word "dumb" in this version.

But why? I have asked that question many times, but there's no good answer for it.

I'm not shure, but there could be many reasons.

The ETs aren't here any more. They are constructing a huge stadium/spa complex on the moon, and setting up a series of lotteries to sell tickets on which way and when earthings will destroy their world. Winners will get a
free week at the complex to come and watch the death of earth during its
final week, and the grand winner will get a free tour of the whole universe
afterwards.

Of course to keep us from spying on their activity, they are building the
comples on the back side of the moon, and will use their advanced
technology to cause the moon to turn 180 degrees to bring it all into view
just before the end. So when you see the moon begin to rotate about to
set them see us destroy ourselves, you know the end is right around the
corner.

How do I know this? Because I sturmbled onto one of their secret promotinal pamplets awhile back, an object that looks shard of glass to
the uninitiated. It took me three-quarters of an hour to decipher it, since
it can only be read with with an electronic wismuma. However, I found
that a hairbreath thickness of soap film and a small, battery-operated fan
to stur the surface slightly and a black light will work well in a pich. It
gives unrefutable proof not only of ETs existence and plans, but of their
superior intellect and power.
