No, it's just diabetic depression catching up to me and finding it harder to fight it. The lack of feedback on my junk shows that nobody wants it so I deleted it all. Sitting here every day not knowing what to do so I don't code any more. Slowly deleteing all my projects and code. (Some days are good, some days are bad).

Will catch up to Bericko and ask him to kill my empty posts soon.

Don't, Fangles. Lack of feedback doesn't mean nobody's interested! No news
is good news! I often copy snippets of code from these forums and store them
for later use, but don't bother leaving feedback to each and every person who
I copied from -- does that mean I don't appreciate them? Of course not.

Fred once said that it's "sabotaging the forums" when people delete their
posts here. (Yes, it's happened before). Please don't make the same mistake.

Fangbeast, don't do that!!! Listen to me dude, I have enough problems here to kill myself but i don't do it. Why? Dunno. Why do you want to quit? It's not the best action to take to delete your work. You are one of the leaders on this forum dammit. I am depressed too but i fight with it... Don't quit, we need you man! There are hundreds of projects waiting to be started. I was confronting every day with this matter of not knowing what to code, and that's why i begun to make things that i'll never finish (just to keep me away from doing bad things)... I probably have nothing to teach you, i'm just a teenager, but i can tell you for sure that this ain't a good idea. Don't fall in ignorance man!

I don't think messages should be allowed to be deleted after a certain
period of time.

I had this same php forums before on my site, and you _can_ control
that.

Hey man, hold on, we all go into the dump once in a while...

But that's how life works. If it wasn't for these 'bad' moments how would we enjoy the good ones!

Take it easy, if you don't feel like doing nothing then don't, but don't destroy your contributions here, they are important and we all count!

And like many others i save most of the code that's placed in these forums...

Take a look at my DEV storage folder :D

Image

87 Mb of code snippets from these forums :P + 39 Mb of user libs since PB 3.8x !!!

Dammit even my first copy of Purebasic is there...

So Fangbeast you are having a bad time so you want others to also have a bad time by nuking things you have contributed.
I consider that low and cowardly.

The fact that you got diabetes and make considerable effort to continue normal activites despite that I find admirable.
But being vengefull by making others miserable by erasing all tracks of all the good you've done in the past is indeed low.

If I was at a similar point in my life I would probably dump all my work on the net somewhere before I "gave up", at least my misery would be of benefit to others.

When your in a rut like this there is only one thing you can do to drag yourself up.
Do something that you would be proud of, what that is I got no clue or advice on. Only you know yourself good enough to know what that is.

But destroying the history/all your work that you left in the forums etc?
Only two kinds of people do that. Criminals (to erase all traces) and people that aren't quite 100% in the top department (like suicide people and various nutcases).
I seriously doubt you are either of those two,
so suck it in and fight it damn it.

And don't tell me I don't understand how it is as that is quite obvious.
I do not have diabetes and I hope I never will.
But I do know you can fight anything if you got the guts to fight it.
Myself when I was a bit younger had an insane fear of dying.
Just a split second of thinking about myself as old and I would get a cold sweat, unable to sleep at times, and cried and unable to think of anything else.
Today I got no such issue as I fought it.
Today death is no big deal to me, when it happens it happens.
And it will be interesting cause who the heck really knows what will happen, but I know it will be another thing to experience in life.

So thoughen up, not for our sake but for your own.
Being self destructive (what you are doing now is self destructive indeed) is the wrong way to deal with it, you should do the opposite.
Think to yourself... "Bah! This is nothing, I can handle this easily. Bring it on dammit. I CAN HANDLE IT!"

Psyche yourself up, you owe it to yourself!

fang, don't delete your contribs! you may THINK that noone cares, but the forum is like one big repository, a cache of information

and if someone doesn't need something right *now* he / she may need it later!

don't destroy knowledge, i know life can be depressing (hey, i'm married :-)) but just don't destroy knowledge

(now, memories, well, there are some things that i'd rather not remember, but they would not necessary qualify as knowledge, unless you would consider it related to... no, let's not go there)

These post deleting sessions happen from time to time by people seeking attention. All it leaves is a sour taste in people mouths when they remember such individuals. Relieve us of your posts if you want Fang but remember nobody will then ever be educated or inspired by you, only confused and hurt.

Don't do it!

Its a human response but wrong indeed.
I have to admit that I've deleted some posts of myself in the past.
The reason was that I was not man enough to resist criticism.
But now I am very ashamed for what I've done.
I will never ever do it again and hope to contribute to the community.
If I face criticism or sarcasm I will take it like a grownup individual.
The reservation of knowledge is way too important to let it being destroyed by our own weakness.
Once again: humble apologies for the past --> let's forward the future and go on with it.

It doesn't really matter if he does. Anything that was worth anything
was put into the code archive. Sorry to sound ruthless.

I disagree. Andre is good but he doesn't catch everything and there is a lot of good code on these forums that is not in the CodeArchiv.
