Just something: It is not written anywhere in the Quran that you aren't allowed to draw the prophet Muhammad.

i have to edit my post. i was crazy to post such a thing! sorry

hi
i read this thread recently, and first of all i must say that i agree with freedom and free speach.
but i must say that you didn't undrestand the reason of all these strange reactions to just simple cartoons.
i know it is so hard to undrestand muslim's reaction.

you don't know anything about living in such a country and also you can't undrestand the way they think.

for an example, just for comparing your situation and their situation:
during medieval (around 1400ac) what was the reaction of people to whom that says there is no god. what about a scientisct that was saying earth is moving?

clear?
and it is just because of eduacation.
just let me say, my country has about 70 milion people right now. our gnp is around 35miliard $ per year. just compare it to denmark and you will see what i mean! our export to denmark is 4milion $ and our input from denmark is 280milion $!!! and this 280 milion $ is just about 0.3% of denmark gnp per year! funny!

so you see, you are high graduated, you and your fathers tried hard and worked hard to make a rich modern country, now your childs will have more time and facility so they will grow better, educate better , they watch movies , read books, .... so because of all these they will think better. they will ask about everything, will used to challenge everything...
but here , and also in all others muslim countries, just a .1% of peoples can reach these standards. so what do you expect?!

by the way in modern countries we can find some protest people yet, but the difference is there are less than 1% and here there are more than 99%!

just an opinion! take it easy
regards
Reza

Sorry, but I have to ask...

* Doesn't Muslims have any humour?
* Doesn't Muslims have any compassion?
* Doesn't Muslims have any sympathy?

Why attack a post with Norwegian and Finish soldiers for a couple of cartoons? Why attack anyone for a couple of cartoons?

Do you really think anyone has to die, for a couple of cartoons?

I don't understand - please explain...

Offhand I would say Behnood is in a high risk situation and perhaps shouldn't become involved in any heavy discussions here, pro or con.

No religion has anything to do with God or spirituality - they are all about power/control.

The majority of believers are sincere. In many cases believers "go along" because the alternative is pain and death. A handful are fanatical. A few know the score and these are the leaders, the ones who pull the emotional strings and manipulate the masses.

Abramic religions (Christians, Jews, Islamic) and their sects are particularly vicious. Only real difference between Islam and Christianity is that Islam has not been muzzled (the dogma is irrelevant). Seperation of Church and State (best thing the USA ever did) has to a large degree muzzled Christianity, otherwise we would have people watching us to make sure we were pure, and pure in the flavour they preferred.

If Christianity was unmuzzled, all the Jesus cartoonists would be dead or recanting on the stake.

And yes, I do believe in God. I don't believe in religion.

So, what you say is that you are not religious, but you believe in God?

I can understand that, but I can't understand how religions that says they are recommending love, solve all problems with war?

It seems very stupid, in a logical way...
