Thefool, do you know modplug? http://lpchip.com/modplug/index.php
The author recently changed the web page to a forum where it is available songs, and chiptunes made by community. There are now only a few of them, because the change of the web supposed a radical lost of all the previous songs and a new beginning.
MODPLUG tracker is a program which allows to compose music in a track based style. It picks and envelops all the old school mod type formats: Octamed, Soundtracker, StarTrekker, ScreamTracker, ImpulseTracker, ProTracker, FastTracker, etc. You can convert between one to another format, allows 16 bit 44100 samples res, sample editing, 64 tracks, midi, etc.
In fact it is a continuation and a reunion all-in-one of the mentioned trackers.
The program is free, and veeery powerful.

@Psycopanta: Yeah i know it! Its great. However its different things this software, however i like mods for being small and also the player are really small. Perfect for intros! I once made one but i think its gone.. But i followed the tutorial a bit, and it got me started! However its indeed a powerfull tool if you compare it to the price. It would even be if they charged money for it!

Btw, i began tracking since Protracker 0.99beta7 one the Amiga (~1991), tracking with a windowed tracker is simply impossible for me this is why i prefer Psycle wich have better sound output, is modular and is oldshool compatible (even with row effects).
Another good one is Skale wich also works with Linux.

Thanks!
I started with Amiga StarTrekker and Octamed.
I'll try Psycle and Skale, but i don't understand why you say Psycle has better sound output.
The biggest problem to me is getting good quality samples like the GigaSampler uses. ¿Do you know a web or a site to get GigaSamples or other note-by-note samples? BTW, If it is free, better

Psycle use native synth to achieve good sound output, it's sampler use kickass algo to mix samples with the better quality (cubic spline is used), along with some VSTi (like the beautifull Vangard, Albino 2 for example) and ASIO 24/96 khz (if available), the sound is like a dream
I am not a sample fan but the ones i use are from EastWest : it cost money but the quality is by far the best i ve ever listened to.

Psycle support VST/VSTi though to play psy using third party plugins you must have them to play the song correctly, it is the same thing for all sound editor using VST/VSTi (not their native plugins).
